Walt Disney conceived of Fantasia as a film that could be issued periodically with new animated musical segments interchanged with those that appeared in the original 1940 version. Sixty years later the original vision was creditably fulfilled under the guidance of Walt's nephew, Roy E. Disney. The book presents a detailed look at the development and making of the film, and it is illustrated throughout with production art and photographs.
