Gorgeous Luminous Fine Quality Orange Carnelian Agate Gemstone Set in a 14K White Gold Pendant on a 10K White Gold Necklace, 24 Inches.
This beautiful vintage heirloom jewelry piece was purchased by my family in the 1970s when we lived in Asia. It is expertly made and the stone is very secure in the prong setting.
The carnelian stone cabochon measures approx 21 x 11 x 5 mm. The overall pendant measures approx 1 1/4 inches long (including the bail) x 5/8 inch wide.
There is a marking on the back of the pendant that is difficult to read, so I tested the gold and it tested to 14K white gold. I also tested the necklace clasp (which is marked 10K) and necklace itself and those items both tested as 10K white gold.
The pendant, including the stone, weighs approx 4.9 grams. The necklace weighs approx 2.5 grams. Both are in excellent condition!
